The Barbless Podcast Network (BPN), is a collection of fly and gear angling podcasts featuring news, interviews, conservation and fishing content produced specifically for its local angling community. This type of localized fishing and conservation content is the first of its kind in the outdoor space - awesome, right?

The original Barbless Fly Fishing Podcast, hosted by Chad Alderson, Nick Hanna and other local anglers. 

Nick is considered by many to be one of NorCal's most elite anglers, Nick is an expert fly fisherman. He brings with him guide experience, fly tying and rod building (he worked at Powell Rod Co. back in the day!).

Chad is an avid fly angler. He is still new to the sport which helps round out the show by asking questions that beginning anglers care about. Chad is a software designer and product manager by trade. He also produces The Barbless Podcast Network. 

Steelhead junkie and fish biologist John McMillan hosts The Op podcast. John is the Science Director for Trout Unlimited’s Wild Steelhead Initiative. He is also a fish biologist with a passion for fly fishing and chasing the OP's world famous steelhead. John dives deep into the science behind salmonid behavior - often referencing quantitative and qualitative data that he's collected in the field and in his academic research. John is BPN's version of Bill Nye and Neil Degrasse Tyson. 

Matt Heron hosts the Truckee / Tahoe show. Matt owns and operates the biggest fishing outfitter in the Lake Tahoe region. Matt’s specialties include outdoor environmental education for youth and corporate team building. His show's focus is on California's expansive Easter Sierras, fishing, guiding, conservation and more.

Conway and Michelle Bowman host the SoCal podcast. Conway is world-famous for his expertise in pursuing mako sharks on the fly. Michelle is a marine biologist and avid angler. Together they produce a unique show about saltwater angling, conservation and family.
